Dear Parents Is it just me or is this year flying by? We have had a lovely half term holiday club on both sites with 2 fabulous trips and now its time to get back to normal. Attached to this letter you will find term dates up until Autumn Term 2011. Please don't forget to use the website for regular notices and dates, we do and try to keep you informed of any important updates on the front page. Please ensure you register as this allows you more freedom on the website and more access to photographs etc. The Mount I.T Lessons All of the current pre-school children will have the opportunity to use the I.T. suite at The Mount over the next few weeks. These sessions will start from this Thursday 25th February and you will receive an information letter along with a permission slip at some point this week. Nursery Closure Day. On Monday 19th April the Nursery will be closed. We have statutory training to undertake for safeguarding, manual handling and policy development. As you can imagine this list cannot be completed in an evening staff meeting so I have decided to have a joint closure day alongside The Mount and The College in order to do as much as possible. Both 0-2 years and 2-4 years fees will be altered accordingly. General Reminders. Could all uniform be labelled at all times. Several jumpers etc have been misplaced and it is very difficult to track them down without a name. If you are going to be late in the morning please could you telephone as dinner numbers are booked by 9.30am and we can then ensure a lunch is kept for your child. Staff Changes There are a few changes for the future. Michelle Riley will be leaving us shortly to attend university to become a paediatric nurse. We wish Michelle lots of luck but we'll miss her cheery smile. Michelle will be leaving on Thursday 1st April 2010. We are pleased to welcome back Abbie Hatton into our Tots room. Many of you know Abbie well and I am sure will be pleased to see her return. We are currently in the process of interviewing candidates for a position and the 0-2 years and one for the Kindergarten. We will keep you all informed of new staff appointed.
Key Person/ Parent Meetings. These are in the process of being organised and letters from your child's key person will be following along with a new report format which will tell you all about observations staff have made on your child in the 6 areas of learning and development. 0-2 years meetings will be held in the week commencing 8th March. 2-3 years (Tots) meetings will be held in the week commencing 15th March. 3-4 years (Kindergarten) meetings will be held in the week commencing 22nd March. These meetings will also be repeated in the summer term after the May half term holiday. Summer Dresses Summer dresses will be available to try on at the uniform shop from mid March. We will not be taking orders ourselves this year, parents must contact the shop and mrs Inman will be able to assist on Tuesdays from 8.30am -5.30pm and then on Thursday from Noon until 5.30pm. Thank you as always for your continued support and partnership. Photos The photos have arrived and will be coming home to you from today. Foote will be coming to collect first payments from week commencing 1st March. If you do not wish to keep your photograph then please return the pack as soon as possible.
